EXHAUSTO
Fan Speed Control
FSC

Included with RS Series Fans |
 |
|
EXHAUSTO Fan Speed Control FSC is used in conjunction with all single-phased
EXHAUSTO chimney fans. The fan speed control is specially engineered to
provide variable speed control of split-capacitor motors. This control is
accomplished by reducing the line voltage to the motor thereby using only
the energy required to maintain the desired volume of air flow (fan speed).
Notice: The RSV 400 and 450 are 3x200-240VAC and cannot be controlled
with this kind of fan speed control |

Steel Chimney Adapter |
EXHAUSTO
Steel Chimney Adapter is used when installing the chimney fan on the
top of a single, double or triple wall steel chimney.
The adapter is designed to
slide into the steel chimney for a tight fit. The outer diameter of
the collar is 1/8" smaller than the inner diameter of the steel
chimney and has a 5" deep collar. |
Exhausto EW40
Wireless Control
 |
|
The new EW40 solution from EXHAUSTO is
extremely flexible.
The wireless control
provides unparalleled convenience and is much less invasive than
traditional wiring methods
The solution consists of a chimney fan which is placed on top of the
chimney and is controlled from the living room by a portable control
panel. The panel is constantly in contact with a power unit placed on
the side of the chimney as the communication works via radio waves.
The wireless control panel can be placed anywhere in your home and will
hence not interfere with the decoration of the room. |

Exhausto EBC 10
Control

For Gas
Fireplaces
& Appliances |
|
EXHAUSTO, Inc, is introducing a new fan speed
control, the EBC 10-P to be used with gas-fired heating appliances as
well as gas fireplaces. The EBC 10-P is integrated with a fan proving
switch, which monitors and creates proper draft in the chimney. While
simplifying the operation of the fireplace and the fan, the control
assures safe operation of the appliance.
The EBC 10-P control is used to set the speed of the chimney fan that
creates the mechanical draft in the chimney system. It provides a proper
and accurate draft at the outlet of the heating appliance and features
an integrated safety function that prevents the heating appliance from
operating in case of a mechanical or electrical failure.
The control constantly senses the draft in the chimney, and in case
of inadequate draft, it will increase the fan speed gradually until the
draft set-point is satisfied. If it reaches maximum capacity, and the
draft set-point is still not satisfied, the appliance will be shut down.
The control also features pre-purge and post-purge functions. The
pre-purge function ensures that draft in the chimney has been
established before the heating appliance is turned on. The post-purge
function operates the chimney fan up to 3 minutes after the appliance is
shut down. This allows for evacuation of flue gas products still in the
chimney.

Exhausto PDS
Proven Draft Switch
Control
 |
|
EXHAUSTO, Inc, is introducing a new fan
speed control, the PDS, proven draft switch. The
PDS is an adjustable differential pressure switch in pressure and vacuum
ranges. The differential pressure acts via a diaphragm against the force
of setting spring on the microswitch. The pressure switch operates
without any auxiliary power. |

Exhausto
EFC 211
Control
 |
|
The EXHAUSTO EFC 211 is a new fan control serving
wood-fired heating appliances designed specifically for use with an
EXHAUSTO RS Chimney Fan or GSV Grease Fan. Typical uses are: 1)
Controlling speed of a chimney fan used with a wood-fired fireplace or
stove or , and 2) Controlling the speed of a chimney fan used with a
wood-fired pizza-oven in a restaurant kitchen.
The EFC211 control is equipped with a visual and an audio alarm that
will alert the home-owner in case of a power failure or chimney
blockage. The control is situated in a box on the outside of the chimney
or inside an attic, and the speed control and alarm is installed in the
room where the heating appliance is located.
The speed control, preset at the desired fan speed, starts the
chimney fan with a boost to assure proper fan operation. If the control
senses that the signal is too low, it will briefly increase the fan
speed. If the signal remains inadequate, the fan speed will increase to
max speed for 15 seconds and if the draft is not obtained, the alarm
will go off. |

Please take a moment to view our most
frequently asked questions about our fans.
What happens when you have a
fire in the fireplace and a power failure occurs?
You will most likely experience the same
problems you had before the chimney fan was installed.
What if the chimney has a
constant down-draft and odor when not in use?
Run the chimney fan at a low speed.
Does the fan always have to be
on when I have a fire in the fireplace?
Yes, the motor can only be cooled when the
chimney fan is operating. You may, however, run it at a very low speed.
The fireplace spills due to
negative pressure in the house. Won’t the chimney fan add to the problem?
Any exhaust fan will pull air out. However,
proper use of the fan speed control assures the chimney fan simply simulates the
natural draft required for the fireplace to operate. Thus, the chimney fan will
not exhaust more air than a well-functioning fireplace would have done.
*It is important to
emphasize that all furnaces, water heaters and other combustion equipment be
checked for proper venting before regular use of a chimney fan.
Can the fan be recessed or
hidden?
Yes, the fan may be recessed or hidden, for
example, with chimney pots, copper caps, or cupolas*
as long as the fan is allowed to vent properly.
Does the chimney fan have to
be removed every time I have my chimney cleaned?
No, the fan has hinges on which it can be
tilted open for easy access of the chimney.
Does the fan require its own
circuit?
No, the fan only draws about 1 to 4 amps,
depending on the size, and runs on 110 volts, which is standard in most homes.
Can you run the wire inside
the flue?
No. However, you may run it inside a chase.
Otherwise it will have to be run on the outside of the chimney.
What kind of guarantee do I
have that I will be satisfied with the fan?
Exhausto offers a 6-month unconditional
guarantee
If you are not completely satisfied with the RS chimney
fan, it can be returned for a full refund, less shipping, for up to 6 months
after the date of purchase. This does not
include accessories such as adapters or controls.
2-yr factory warranty on motor and a 10-yr corrosion perforation
warranty.
